How do I return things?
If you're not satisfied with your Sunskis or Tee for any reason, you can return them to us within 60 days in an unused, resellable condition for a full refund. T-shirts must be returned unwashed with tags still attached. Click here to visit our returns page.
My lenses are scratched, how do I get them fixed?
We've got an easy fix: subsidized lens replacements! The Sunski lens kits are an easy, DIY way to keep your Sunskis looking and working their best. If your Sunski lenses have taken a tumble and are damaged, please visit our lens kit replacement page to purchase a discounted lens packet.
My plastic frame is broken, how do I get that fixed?
If your Sunskis frames are broken, please click here to learn how to get them to us so we can fix them!
Unless you have an older version of our shades, you most likely won't be losing any screws that hold the frame together. We use a standard, 2 millimeter screw, so you can go to your local hardware store or pharmacy and get an eyeglass repair kit (about $2.50) that will contain the screws. It's definitely a handy thing to have around anyway!
Do you accept exchanges?
Decided the Taravals were a bit too big on you? Realized that green is more of your color? We will happily accept exchanges. Just like returns, make sure your shades are unused and in resellable condition. The same goes for tees: tag still attached and unwashed. Please click here and ship the exchange to the same address as returns with "ATTN: EXCHANGE" clearly marked on the package.
What are your lenses made from?
Our lenses are made from tri-acetate cellulose (TAC). The tri-acetate cellulose core includes a solid polarization layer, and the lenses offer 100% full-spectrum UV protection, including UVA, UVB and UV400 wavelengths. The combination of polarization and UV protection allows for better and brighter vision without eyestrain. The dialectic mirror coating further blocks glare and makes you look really cool as well.
How do I clean my Sunskis?
To make sure your new lenses stay shiny and happy, here are some great care tips: if you take your Sunskis into the pool or the ocean, make sure to rinse them with freshwater before the end of the day (especially if they have a mirrored coating)! When salt and pool chemicals sit on the lenses for too long, they will start to eat away at the coatings and can damage the lenses. Also, make sure never to wipe dried salt off the lenses because it will act like sandpaper and scratch the mirror. Just a quick rinse is all you need to keep them looking sharp!
Although usually unnecessary, you can also use lens cleaners - just make sure you use the microfiber case that comes with the shades or a similar cloth, and not something more harsh like a paper towel.
When will my order ship?
We ship everything from our warehouse in San Jose, and generally your shades and tees will ship 1-2 business days after the order is placed (pro-tip: place your order during week day business hours so it is guaranteed to ship next day!)
How long does shipping take?
We ship all US orders with USPS First-Class mail, so shipping usually takes 3-5 business days to arrive.
We also have an option in checkout for UPS 2nd Day Air for an additional cost. Please note that these orders will be delivered 2 business days after the pickup day.
That being said, please take into account our warehouse processing time. Orders will usually ship 1 - 2 business days after the order is placed. For reference, If you place an order on Monday, it won't be getting to you on Wednesday, but more likely Thursday.
If you selected UPS 2nd Day air and want to make sure your glasses will arrive by a deadline, feel free to email us at email@example.com and we'll do our best to help you out.
Do you ship internationally? What service do you use? How long does shipping take?
Yep! International shipping is a flat $25, so it is the same price to ship 1 pair or 10 pairs. We ship using UPS Mail Innovations and orders usually take 7 to 10 business days to arrive. Please keep in mind that shipping times can be shorter or longer depending on shipping or customs delays. UPS Mail Innovations is a service where the parcel is picked up by UPS, passed on to USPS, taken to another country, and finally handed off to the local postal carrier.
PLEASE NOTE: When you enter your address in checkout, you must type it in English.
Are there additional fees for international orders?
Every country has varying tariffs and customs duties for importing sunglasses and it is the responsibility of the customer to be aware of their own sovereign government's schedule of customs duties, fees and taxes.
At this time, our store only accepts US dollars. Your card will be charged in USD and a conversion rate will be applied to your home currency
Please include correct telephone contact information in your order to ensure that you can be reached in the case of a customs issue.
Where are your Shades made?
We make our sunglasses in China, in factories that we have thoroughly vetted to make sure they meet high ethical standards.
